01 October 2007 Additional air service between Manchester and Geneva
An additional weekly flight is set to link the UK's Manchester Airport and Geneva, it has been revealed.
Travel Mole reports that Swiss airline is adding the flight from December 16th, the first new Swiss route since Basel was introduced in January of this year.
Flights will leave Manchester at 9:40 local time and leave Geneva for the return flight at 12:30 local time and will run until March 23rd.
"Frequencies to Basel will in winter 2007 and January 2008 be increased to up to six weekly flights," Travel Mole revealed.
In September, Swiss announced that three weekly flights between London City and Bucharest via Geneva would begin operation from April 2008, which Harry Hohmeister, chief network officer at Swiss, said showed the company's commitment to Geneva as a national airport.
