31 August 2006 Airline and supermarket join forces for cheap flights
Air Berlin and supermarket Lidl have announced a £19 voucher scheme for cut-price flights to Europe, which includes a one-way flight, charges and fuel.
Flights have a value of up to £69 and run from London-Stansted, Bornemouth, Glasgow, Belfast and Manchester to a range of European holiday destinations, including Majorca, Vienna and Rome.
Joachin Hunold, chief executive officer of Air Berlin, said: "Our ethos is to provide quality products and services at low prices and we are excited to be able to continually surprise new customers with special offers and promotions in this joint venture with Lidl."
Vouchers are available from September 5th to 12th, tickets must be booked by October 3rd and the flights must occur between the start of October and March 2007.
While holidaymakers will be booking their own accommodation the voucher price does include allocated seating, a snack and a soft drink on the airplane.
Lidl is a chain of grocery stores founded in Germany that operates primarily in Europe.
Air Berlin is an airline that flies to the Mediterranean coast, the Canary Islands, north Africa and major European cities.
