17 January 2008 Antigua and Barbados are BA "hotspots"
British Airways has named Antigua and Barbados as favourite "hotpots" for its passengers.
The comment comes as it announces its intention to offer daily flights to Buenos Aires and non-stop travel to Rio de Janeiro next winter.
Previously, British Airways offered four times weekly flights from Heathrow to Buenos Aires.
"South America is a growing market for us as demand for business and leisure travel increases. We're responding to that demand by providing more flights to Buenos Aires and non-stop services to Rio," commented Robert Boyle, British Airways' commercial director.
He added that Rio is traditionally a leisure holiday destination.
Other flight increases include from Gatwick to St Lucia while to "favourite hotspots" Antigua and Barbados will remain on seven and nine flights weekly Gatwick flights.
Barbados is located east of the Caribbean Sea in the western Atlantic Ocean and is famed for its high standard of lifestyle and tropical beaches.
