31 December 2007 Balearic holidaymakers 'spend most in Ibiza'
Holidaymakers travelling to the Balearic Islands spend the most money when visiting Ibiza, it has been reported.
According to Your Menorca, a survey by the tourism board of Ibiza made the discovery that holidaymakers spend more on the island than those travelling to Menorca and Majorca.
The news comes as Your Menorca reports that Majorca was the most popular holiday destination for UK travellers in 2007.
The organisation also reports that the three islands each attract a distinct type of holidaymaker, with Ibiza being more popular with 18 to 30 year olds with a "high" disposable income.
Meanwhile, Majorca is reported to have a cosmopolitan feel which appeals to younger and older clientele.
Finally, it is claimed that Menorca is more popular with those on family holidays.
