The highlight of the sporting calendar for many, the summer Olympics take place every four years, with the games in 2008 in Beijing being described as a perfect tourism opportunity.
Speciality travel agent Roadtrips is offering a range of packages for VIP guests and sports fans alike, with the firm offering tickets to the opening and closing ceremonies in addition to the myriad sporting events.
"The 2008 summer games in Beijing have the makings of a perfect travel experience, combining a premium sporting event with the mystery and history of one of China's great cities," the company reports.
Roadtrips adds that the company has secured a number of rooms in the best hotels in the city as part of its five-night packages that include transfers, tours, hosts, four-event tickets and other services.
The Beijing Olympics are due to be held from August 8th-24th 2008, with the opening ceremony starting at 8:08pm and eight seconds, reflecting the Chinese cultural belief associating the number eight with prosperity.
