11 February 2008 "Better life" sees Brits move abroad
A number of Britons are seeking to make the permanent transition to live abroad for a variety of reasons, it has been reported.
Natwest reports that among these reasons are financial motivations, health and simply for improved weather.
The comments from Dave Isley, head of Natwest International Personal Banking, come after the release of the NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life Report.
"The world is far more movable than it ever was before ... there's a lot of opportunity now for people to go abroad and just expand their horizons; in terms of work opportunity, but also in terms of actual lifestyle opportunity," he noted.
Mr Isley also noted that there are a number of "push and pull factors" at work.
The "bad" UK is also a deciding factor among some, he added, although some expats are simply looking to broaden their horizons.
