31 December 2007 Brits 'have 1.3 billion holiday days left'
UK workers still have a collective 1.3 billion holiday days left to take in their working year, it has been reported.
According to Post Office, these days will be lost as 37 per cent of the UK fails to take time off before the end of 2007.
The news comes as the company reports that 40 per cent of Britons worked for some time during the Christmas period.
"We were surprised to discover that so many people will be at work during the festive period. Particularly when we have seen healthy sales of foreign currency over recent weeks which suggests more people are heading abroad," commented head of travel services at Post Office Helen Warburton.
The Post Office claims that 39 per cent of men of lose out on their full holiday quota compared to 32 per cent of women.
The Association of British Travel Agents recently reported that 3.5 million Brits would be travelling abroad over the Christmas and New Year period.
