07 November 2006  Consumers 'should consider more than price' of insurance
Consumers have been advised that they should consider more than the price when purchasing cover.

Sainsbury's Bank has told consumers that the best deal for items is not necessarily the cheapest, informing consumers to also examine the extent of cover on offer and ensure it accords with their needs.

A spokesperson for the company said: "It's important to consider the levels of cover you require and your personal circumstances. A cheaper insurance quote for example may mean less cover and more exclusions."

The spokesperson added that those purchasing insurance should shop around, comparing the exclusions and eligibilities of the policies in addition to the price.

Earlier this year, Sainsbury's Bank urged holidaymakers making last minute arrangements for holidays to still take the time to shop around for appropriate cover.
