10 December 2007 Cost-conscious business passengers 'fly budget'
An increasing number of business travellers are opting for flights with budget airlines in order to save on costs, it has been suggested.
According to easyJet, business travel is a "lucrative" market for low-cost airlines and an "important" customer group for all airlines.
The Times Online recently reported on how a growing proportion of business travellers will soon be flying with budget airlines.
"Business passengers are more cost-conscious these days, however it is still essential for them to have convenience and reliability," a spokesperson for easyJet commented.
She added that flying with budget airlines saves companies money and can also offer comfort and convenience.
Furthermore, she noted that easyJet flies passengers to main city airports on new aircraft, which can be beneficial to business passengers.
