12 October 2007 "Growing demand" for flights to New York
An airline has had to change its routes to meet demand for flights between the UK and the US, it has been revealed.
MAXjet Airways reveals that from October 20th, it will run ten weekly services between New York JFK and London Stansted - with twice-daily flights leaving on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
Meanwhile, those heading to Las Vegas may benefit from more departure options as the service is to be increased to five times a week from December 5th.
"This change builds on MAXjet's core strengths as we seek increased opportunities to serve the growing business traffic," commented MAXjet chief executive officer Bill Stockbridge.
A spokesperson for the Association of British Travel Agents recently reported that Las Vegas has become a popular long-haul destination for short breaks.
She claimed that people visited the city for long weekends.
