15 January 2008 Holidaymakers 'can meditate as they fly'
Holidaymakers travelling with Virgin Atlantic Airways can now meditate as they fly, it has been announced.
The airline revealed that due to the popularity of its onboard audio meditation programme it is offering a new 30-minute "imagination relaxation" experience.
Using sound effects and "stunning" visuals, the show offers relaxing entertainment for passengers, it is claimed.
"During their actual journey, passengers are able to sit back and enjoy a meditative journey that's guaranteed to leave them feeling relaxed, refreshed and uplifted," commented Michael Taylor from Virgin Atlantic's inflight entertainment department.
Richard Latham of Meditainment.com added that long haul flights can prove a "challenge" for certain passengers and that the Total Relaxation movie can offer passengers a state of "pure bliss" with the option of falling into a "deep and natural sleep".
Virgin Atlantic was recently awarded with the Fastest Airport Check In award at the Wallpaper Awards ceremony.
