19 March 2008 Honeymooning Brits have 'sense of adventure'
A growing number of Britons are looking for a taste of adventure while on their honeymoon, it has been reported.
Research from MSC Cruises shows that although 45 per cent of honeymooners opt for beach holidays to celebrate their nuptials, 23 per cent would like to combine activity and beach relaxation on their break, TravelMole reports.
The study also shows that city breaks are popular too, with 23 per cent of newly weds heading out to traditional destinations like Paris and New York.
And a total ten per cent of Britons head to emerging destinations for activity holidays, the research shows.
MSC Cruises managing director Claudia Baino said: "This research shows that there is a great opportunity for travel agents to take advantage of this niche market and to go after business; many customers are still looking for personal advice."
