17 January 2008 Japanese cuisine available on KLM flights
Holidaymakers travelling on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines taking flights to Japan can look forward to eating eastern cuisine on their journeys.
KLM has announced that a new Japanese meal service will operate on its world business class and economy class cabins, Easier reports.
The meals were devised by master chef Akira Oshima at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
"We are proud to offer these new meals on board in collaboration with the distinguished Hotel Okura Amsterdam," Bart Vos, executive vice-president of KLM inflight services commented.
"Our master chef Akira Oshima guarantees unsurpassed quality in the field of Japanese cuisine," Marcel van Aelst, president and general manager of Hotel Okura Amsterdam added.
Marc Lammens, also of KLM, added that Japanese passengers can enjoy Japanese video and audio programmes and Japanese newspapers and magazines on their flights.
KLM offers domestic and worldwide scheduled passenger flights.
