Kenya is planning its first ever roadshow in Australia to attract visitors to the country, it has been reported.
The Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) will take a tour of Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide to promote Kenya as a tourist destination for Australian travellers.
As quoted in the Daily Courier, Michael Opondo told reporters at a press conference in Nairobi that the KTB would be establishing contacts with trade partners in the Australian market.
"Our focus is going to be much more on the quality that we can offer to sustain the industry provide relevant products and build overall tourism experience," he said.
"We need to present new options and products that people can look at," he continued.
The Australian government has urged Australians travelling to Kenya to exercise caution and avoid the border regions with Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia.
