The Maldives are a great location for honeymoons and watersports activities such as snorkelling, it has been reported.
According to the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board, the Maldives are a popular honeymoon destination for couples.
It also noted that the Maldives provide the "perfect backdrop" for relaxing, rejuvenating holidays.
The comment from the Maldives Tourism Promotion Board comes as it appears at the 2008 Bride Show in Abu Dhabi.
"We offer one of the most romantic destinations in the world and over the four days of the show, we will be talking to consumers about what makes the Maldives Islands so special," commented Mohammed Adam, deputy director, Maldives Tourism Promotion Board.
The board noted that weather in the Maldives is consistent all year and that temperatures range from 25 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius.
