09 January 2007 New Bahamas resort to have high-tech comms
Holidaymakers looking for an exotic trip with the luxury of hi-tech communications facilities may be interested to learn that The Cove Atlantis, due to open in March this year, will be equipped with a modern electronic communications system.
Resort operator Kerzner International reports that visitors to the Bahamas will have access to electronic communications services for mini-bar management, housekeeping status and wakeup calls.
Travellers will also have access to IP phones providing a range of tourist information concerning the resort and surrounding area to their rooms.
Noberto Milan, vice president of enterprise networks and Nortel Caribbean and Latin America, said: "The Cove Atlantis will truly be one of the most high-tech resorts in the Caribbean with the latest communications technology specifically designed to support the resort's business objectives for delivering an exemplary guest experience."
He added that the company's abilities would result in the same level of excellence being kept throughout the resort following the integration of the new system into the resort.
