14 October 2006 New Orleans travel guide launched
An online travel resource has release an up-to-date electronic guidebook available solely online dedicated to New Orleans, which may be of use to holidaymakers heading to the Big Easy.
The guide, released by SmarterTravel.com, aims to help tourists better find their way around the parts of the city unaffected by Hurricane Katrina and those parts being rebuilt.
With many hotels and tourist-related businesses offering a number of discounts, the guide offers information to tourists to the special deals on offer.
Anne Banas, executive editor at SmaterTravel.com, noted that the city had endured months of rebuilding and was enjoying "much deserved resurgence" in tourist numbers.
"Although the city has gone through many changes, the heart of New Orleans remains," she said.
"By visiting the city now, travellers can enjoy this exciting time of rebirth," she added.
Earlier this month leisuregrouptravel.com announced the return of its group tours to New Orleans.
