06 October 2005 New business airline unveiled
A new airline, MAXjet Airways, will start operating from the beginning of November, offering all seats on its service as business class.
The airline will operate six flights per week between New York's JFK airport and London's Stansted airport.
The appeal of the flights lie in the fact that the business class offering can be booked at prices 50 to 75 per cent less than normal business class flights.
Gary Rogliano, MAXjet's chief executive officer, said: "MAXjet was designed to appeal to the savvy traveller with luxury amenities for all passengers and the highest standards for comfort, service and value."
Those savvy travellers will include business people who will seek to take advantage of the innovative service.
This will give the 102 passengers on each plane the peace of mind to enjoy the normal aspects of business travel such as pre-departure drinks, a la carte menus and portable on-demand entertainment.
