28 November 2007 New website for Iberian Peninsula launched
Portugal and Spain have collaborated their tourism efforts in order to create a joint website to promote the Iberian Peninsula.
The new online guide is designed to educate consumers about the Iberian Peninsula and the activities and highlights of both countries.
As well as raising awareness about Portugal and Spain, the site provides information on the latest travel deals.
"We know consumers are interested in Portugal and Spain - two unique destinations that boast numerous cultural experiences, breathtaking landscapes and varied cuisine," commented Eduardo Souto Moura, managing director of the Portuguese National Tourism Office.
The website - called Portugal? Spain? Both promotes arts, culture, wine, food, beaches and golf information to visitors.
The site is the official US site for the joint promotion of both countries as tourist destinations.
