14 September 2007 Orlando focuses marketing efforts on UK
Britons are set to be hit with new adverts from the US to entice them to visit the tourist hub of Orlando, Florida, as the local Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau (Orland CVB) seeks to best focus its marketing efforts during 2008.
The Orlando CVB reports that early indications are showing the success of its earlier campaigns, with traveller numbers up six per cent and website visitors increasing by 42 per cent.
Gary Sain, president and chief executive officer of the Orlando CVB, said: "Orlando will continue this momentum in 2008 not only nationwide, but also throughout the UK and Canada as we kick off strong integrated efforts in each of these markets in the winter of 2007/spring of 2008."
He added that the seat of Orange County would also look to market itself in other countries worldwide, including Brazil, Spain, France and Colombia.
Orlando is renowned for a number of tourist attractions, including Walt Disney World Resort, SeaWorld, and Universal Orlando Resort.
