17 October 2007 "Quick" and "easy" holiday service from regional airports
Regional airports can offer consumers "quick" and "easy" services which help to make their holidays enjoyable, it has been claimed.
According to a spokesperson for BAA Southampton Airport, the regional airport offers a range of niche business carriers and low-cost carriers and aims to provide "choice and convenience" for local residents.
She added that the airport currently serves 47 destinations with 14 airlines and provides customers with an "efficient service".
"The airport offers passenger facilities and services that are designed to make the whole experience quick, easy and enjoyable for business and leisure passengers alike," the spokesperson continued.
The UK Cities Monitor 2007 reported Southampton Airport to be the sixth-best airport for international transport links following London in first place and Manchester and Birmingham in second and third.
