20 December 2007 Ski holiday booking tips
A number of tips on how best to select a resort for the ideal ski holiday has been released by the Alpine Club.
When dealing with agents, holidaymakers are advised to check whether the person selling the holiday has seen the residence in person, as information on sleeping arrangements, en suites and vital amenities can be "invaluable".
Holidaymakers should also check that the resort meets their needs in terms of the levels of snow it generally receives and whether the piste difficulties match the levels of expertise of the ski holiday members.
Transport to the slopes and lifts is another question that should be put to agents by would-be ski holidaymakers, it is asserted.
Other things that skiers should find out about prior to booking are what is included in the deal and what the food situation is for the accommodation.
Ski Famille recently reported that there has been an excellent start to the 2007-08 ski season.
