07 March 2008 Ski snow predicted for Easter holiday destinations
Skiers looking to head to a traditional destination in Europe this Easter may find that the perfect conditions await them.
Snow is predicted at a number of ski resorts, meaning the slopes could be in great shape ahead of one's trip abroad.
According to Travelbite, those who are heading over sooner would be best advised to head to Austria, where half a metre of snow was expected to fall this week.
There are many good Easter holiday destinations for skiing in Austria, including Innsbruck, Alpbach, Scheffau and St Anton.
However, Chamonix and Meribel are also expected to provide good pistes. Both were expecting snow this week, though the latter has variable conditions off-piste.
Nevertheless, the news of snowfall at traditional and emerging destinations in Europe is sure to be music to the ears of skiers, following the poor falls in February.
