30 July 2005 Spanish stag do ends in coma
Sammy Thompson from Coventry has reawoken from a coma after falling ill during a stag do abroad in the Spanish resort of Majorca.
Mr Thompson had to have two operations and was in a coma for more than a week after a stroke during the trip to Palma Nova, reports icCoventry.
With costly medical bills to foot as well as relatives' journeys to and from the popular holiday area.
Stag dos abroad have been all the rage in recent years and with a lot of alcohol often involved.
With many nightclubs often leading stag do participants to rather less savoury areas of cities and towns, good holiday cover will also make sure holidaymakers are covered in case of any robberies or incidents of assault.
