22 September 2005 Texas awaits Hurricane Rita
Residents in the Florida Keys are expected to return to their homes after Hurricane Rita passed by the region with minimal damage and flooding caused.
However, the news is less good for the US mainland as the hurricane continues on its path across the Gulf of Mexico, and is now being classified as a category three storm.
People living in the devastated city of New Orleans, and Galveston, in Texas, have been told to evacuate their homes in anticipation of another horrific storm.
This time, President Bush is showing that his country is fully prepared for whatever Rita has in store, working alongside Rick Perry, governor of Texas.
Buses and planes have been put on standby in threatened regions to transport residents, while areas in Florida and Texas, which are preparing for the arrival of evacuees, have been sent food and water to cope.
