12 December 2007 Tips for stress-free travel
Holidaymakers have been issued with advice from British Airways on how best to lower their stress levels before and during their trips abroad.
In conjunction with the UK's Stress Management Society the airline is hoping that the tips will help to relax passengers and remove the hard work from holiday preparation.
Tips include getting plenty of sleep before travelling and arriving at the airport with plenty of time to spare.
Also, passengers are advised to take advantage of online check-in services to save time and stress.
Once on holiday, travellers should remember to eat well and take on plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration, while any potential tensions should be tackled "early on".
Stress is defined by the Stress Management Society as what happens when demands made on a person "exceed that person's ability to cope".
