A list of top destinations for gourmets to indulge their tastebuds has been announced.
The Today Show claims that culinary travel has become one of the fastest-growing trends in the global travel industry.
Culinary travel can includes going to wine festivals, visiting farmers markets, sampling artisan products and going cheese-tasting.
"But almost always, you can choose to have a hands-on experience cooking alongside top chefs," the news provider reported.
In North America, the Homestead Heritage School of Homesteading in Texas offers travellers the chance to perfect their dairy producing skills, while Thai cooking programmes at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok are also popular, it is claimed.
In terms of cruise holidays, gourmet restaurants are available on many cruise ships, while other ships offer cookery classes to passengers.
Holland America Lines even tailors its dining menus to match the traditional cuisine of the locations it sails through.
