04 March 2008 Traditional holiday destinations 'to be popular in 2008'
A number of traditional destinations are set to appeal to holidaymakers in 2008, it has been reported.
According to lastminute.com, Greece, a traditional destination for many Britons, is set to "do very well" this summer.
Managing director John Bevan claimed that Greece's popularity was due to "competitive prices".
The Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises has anticipated that tourist arrivals in the country will reach 19.4 million ahead of 2010.
"We are expecting Greece to do very well this summer as prices are particularly competitive. Agadir in Morocco and Spain are also expected to do very well," Mr Bevan commented.
He also noted that Cape Verde is an emerging destination, while fellow emerging destination China is expected to be popular ahead of interest in the Olympic games.
