14 December 2006 Travellers get Christmas gadget tips
An advanced digital and high-definitions supplier to hotels has published a list of the top ten gadgets travellers may want to receive this Christmas.
The list, from KoolConnect Technologies, places the Slingbox from Slingmedia at the top of the list that can allow a personal computer anywhere in the world to receive the user's local television channels.
Other items on the list that may interest holidaymakers, include the Apple iPod and Bose noise cancelling headphones.
"Unlike years ago where a worn address book, travellers' cheques and some paper airline tickets were all a business traveller needed to jet around the world, it seems as if today the modern traveller is more wired than a hen house and can't think of starting a trip without a myriad of gizmos and gadgets," the company states.
Last summer, Direct Line reported that 38.3 million Britons travel abroad with gadgets including mp3 players and notebook computers.
