19 October 2005 Wilma brewing up next hurricane
Tropical Storm Wilma, which is currently 220 miles off the coast of Honduras, is expected to be upgraded to hurricane status as it gathers momentum.
Wilma is sustaining wind speeds of up to 70mph as it makes its way through the Caribbean.
The US National Hurricane Centre said: "Wilma is expected to become an intense hurricane in the northwestern Caribbean Sea.
"All interests in western Cuba, the Yucatan Peninsula, south Florida and the Florida Keys should monitor the progress of this potentially dangerous hurricane during the next several days."
It is the 21st storm to be named this year.
It also means 2005 has now equalled the record highest number of Atlantic storms, a figure last witnessed in 1933.
According to officials in Jamaica, heavy flooding has already hit the popular travel destination, affecting low-lying communities, submerging roads and forcing many into temporary shelters.
