21 December 2007 Winter trip tips
Britons considering booking holidays this winter have been given some advice on how to go about doing so.
According to the Motley Fool, there are three things to remember when securing a holiday deal - saving money by finding a bargain, making sure you have a European Health Insurance card and obtaining the right kind of travel insurance.
"Cold weather and dark evenings have got many of us pining for sun - or the ski slopes of course," Fool notes.
The financial advice website also noted that it is important to shop around for the best holiday deal as January is a popular time to book trips abroad.
Fool also recommends that holidaymakers do their research about their air carrier too before booking.
In terms of travel insurance, the company advises that holidaymakers plan ahead for the year as for multiple-holiday travellers, annual insurance may be a preferable choice to single-trip insurance.
