18 July 2007 Wizz Air makes first Warsaw flight from Belfast International
Polish-Hungarian airline Wizz Air has embarked on its first flight from Belfast International Airport to Warsaw this week.
This will be second route from the airport to fly with Wizz Air following its flights to Katowice and the third Polish route in total from Belfast International Airport.
Over 1.3 million passengers are set to fly from Belfast, the airport notes, predicting a continuation of its already busy year.
Natasa Kzmr, head of corporate communications and public affairs of Wizz Air, said: "We are delighted to link Belfast with another Polish destination after Katowice."
She added that the firm is offering holidaymakers based in Belfast increased opportunities to travel to Poland and benefit from the firm's low-cost fares and high quality of services.
In June 2007, the Post Office reported that Poland topped its list of Fastest Growing Currencies, with tourists heading to eastern Europe for novel holidays providing good value for money.
