But that does not mean you can expect any less from us when it comes to making a claim than you can from more traditional household names. We value all our customers very highly and we have grown through personal recommendation on both our price and our claims service.
However, it is worth remembering that a travel insurance policy is a contract and, as such, is legally binding. We require you to tell us anything in advance that may affect the nature of any possible claim including pre-existing medical conditions or any circumstance that could materially affect a claim.
It is standard practice for all travel insurers that all claims are substantiated by documentary evidence. You will be asked in the event of loss or theft of personal items for documentary evidence including a police report. Similarly, where a claim involves cancellation due to illness we will require a written doctor's report, and we will require documentary evidence from the airline in the event of delay. Please make sure you are able to obtain, or already have the necessary documentary evidence before you commence the claim process. By making sure you have the right paperwork available we can work to settle your claim quickly and efficiently.
These measures are not meant to delay or prevent legitimate claims, but are necessary for all travel insurance providers.
